One of my favourite baby gifts is the Milo Vest from Tikki. I consider myself an intermediate knitter and with the help of the video tutorial that is available to explain a tricky bit, it came together pretty easily. It’s a nice little project that can be done on the go and gifted before the bubby is too big to wear it.
My first ones were for twins and were a smaller size for them to wear as newborns.
I love a teeny tiny new born knit. Check out the pencil size comparison.
The next one I made was also for a newborn baby gift but because of the time of year, I made it bigger so they could wear it the following Winter (and possibly even the Winter after).
As there was only one to gift this time I decided to have a bit of fun with the detail. It was nice to just to do some free hand embroidery and see what came out. It ended up with a bit of a retro vibe which I think will be cute on an older bubba or toddler.
The Milo is a timeless classic style as is or a blank canvas to let your creativity take over. There are so many gorgeous versions online to gain inspiration from. Enjoy a nice simple knit!
