I have just discovered the Do It Better Yourself Club range of patterns and the first one I wanted to try was the Helen Drawstring Dress.
The measurements were spot on for the size I needed and I feel comfy and relaxed in the jersey I used.
I love the the cut and size of the pockets and they are positioned perfectly in the skirt.
The drawstring casing is the top part of the skirt and the clear and simple instructions made it a breeze to put together.
Even though I love wearing knits all of my favourite fabrics are usually wovens and I thought I could get away with a woven version of the Helen dress in a rayon.
The only adjustment I had to make for the woven version was to make the arm hole about an inch bigger.
I love both of my Helen Dresses and I look forward to wearing them.
